LOVE AND MARRIAGE – the expectation is long-term

For any young couple anticipating love and marriage, one can't underestimate the value and importance of preparing ..... laying down the right foundations for a good marriage, and learning to love one another for better or worse. Some people won't allow themselves to be placed under the control of God or anyone else, but the most important person that God has placed in your life for you to love and serve is your spouse, and the husband and wife must serve and love each other in order for God to be glorified by their love and marriage.

Husbands and wives who treat each other with kindness and respect are good role models for others; when others see how happy a Christian couple is, they want to know what it is that causes this happiness. The couple can tell how God's love for them and their love for God helps them with love and marriage.

Both the husband and wife are commanded to love each other with agape love. This kind of love puts self last and provides for the happiness of the other. Before getting married one must be mature enough to know what is right and what is wrong. Some people get married before they are mature enough, without realizing that you need to be prepared prepared physically, morally, spiritually, economically, and emotionally.

There are all sorts of creative things that can be done in the church to hold high the institution of marriage and to support and encourage couples.
