GUIDANCE COUNSELING - strengthens families for times of major crisis

Guidance counseling offers hope and change through the ministry of God's Word via a range of fantastic resources to married couples and families in need. More and more churches are getting calls for help from members of the congregation who are out of a job, have addiction problems, marital problems and messed up family relationships, and guidance counseling isn't only important to relationships in the congregation, but it is also a critical outreach to non-Christians who are within the circle of extended family, neighbours and friends.

Family Life equips and supports Christian churches, enabling them to meet the needs of families in their congregations, who can begin to deal with feelings in positive, constructive ways. Christian guidance highlights important values such as integrity, commitment, honesty, loyalty and spirituality, which can strengthen the family from within. We assist churches with understanding the value in guidance counseling as the resources will show people how to apply God's f oundational truths to all aspects of life.... it is one of the most important ministries in the church; that of building strong Christian families!

Churches have a responsibility to respond to families in need after a divorce for instance. The psychological scars left require care beyond the restoration of physical needs. Putting the lives of families back after a divorce requires care, hope and love, and guidance counseling enables people to cope with their anger, guilt,loneliness and turmoil. We help churches take steps to prevent marriages from reaching a state of crisis, and to revive those already in distress and counseling empowers families to address everyday hardships and also to strengthen themselves for times of difficulty.
