FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES – give extra support when families need it most
A global crisis confronts the family, and with the way our world has advanced, it seems that the odds are against the family. Our homes are infiltrated with negative and destructive elements from television and the Internet and Christian families are yielding to the whims of the world ... if you can't beat 'em, join 'em; and it's in this vulnerability that we need to recognize the urgency, and appreciate the value of Family Support Services and the role it plays in building a strong Christian family foundation.
Family Support Services manifests the love of God through serving families in need, and strives to support family functioning and foster strong family relationships. It seeks to give families extra support when they need it most and when they are facing a variety of difficulties such as -
- ill health
- bereavement
- loneliness
- isolation
- relationship difficulties
The family is a place of strong emotional involvement, and thanks to Family Support Services, even in the midst of a family crises, many families can continue in a firm and faithful union.
Divorce is a cause of financial, emotional and human impoverishment; it's social costs are high, and Family Support Services provide solutions to family's problems. With our wide spectrum of sources and ministries, we help churches to establish ministries within their congregations to make positive changes in building strong families.
Unemployment and economic difficulties are also a danger to families, and many have to face this crisis alone; who do they turn to and who will enlighten them? Not having an understanding source to turn to can leave families closed in on their problems.
These problems don't go away on their own. At Family Life we have a range of Bible-based resources which includes conferences and seminars. All of our resources provide information, instruction, help and advice for daily living, and have a powerful and effective therapeutic approach, impacting individuals, youth, families, and groups.
